Independent alternative sourcing

Factory sourcing and quote comparison for mcgrath rentcorp alternatives

NorthPoint Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner. A search for mcgrath rentcorp is kept as a reference for the building problem, not as an order for that brand. The desk asks factories for quotations on alternative modular buildings, portable units, and site facilities after the use, module dimensions, loads, jurisdiction, quantity, and destination sit in one brief.

A mcgrath rentcorp company comparison, including a search phrased mgrc or mcgrath rentcorp, starts here with alternative building requirements. Neither name identifies this desk or guarantees an original-brand unit. Supplier names, exact systems and purchase responsibilities must be confirmed in the replies.

NorthPoint Sourcing is not McGrath RentCorp, does not claim authorized dealer status and is not affiliated with that company. It compares independently proposed alternatives; original-brand supply is not offered.

Six items before a factory is asked

  1. Use Occupancy, permanent or relocatable intent, and whether the unit is a camp, classroom, office, or shell.
  2. Dimensions Module length, width, floor-to-ceiling height, and the transport envelope.
  3. Loads Design live load, design dead load, wind speed, ground snow load, and seismic design category when the jurisdiction has them.
  4. Jurisdiction Project location and the code edition the authority having jurisdiction applies.
  5. Quantity Module count or building sets, plus whether a partial shipment is acceptable.
  6. Destination Delivery point, access limits, and who unloads.

Checks that keep two quotations on one sheet

Name the primary frame

A rigid frame, a cold-formed steel wall, and a container-style corner post are different primary systems. If a reply swaps one for another, mark the swap instead of treating the smaller number as the same building.

Separate secondary framing

Purlins and girts carry roof and wall cladding. A price that stops at the primary frame still needs a note on who supplies the secondary members, the insulated metal panel, and the fasteners.

Keep scope words apart

Shell, delivered, installed, and turnkey are four commercial objects. Freight, the slab, and the electrical service can sit outside a shell line and still be required before occupancy.

Leave blank loads blank

Wind exposure category and ground snow load come from the site, not from a product family name. A missing figure stays blank until the buyer or the project engineer supplies it.

Inquiry rows for this desk

These rows are buyer-defined options inside Modular and Portable Buildings and Workforce Camps and Site Facilities. They are not inventory, and they are not a statement that any option matches a named brand detail. Open Building Options for the full list.

Volumetric module with windows and a steel lifting point

Volumetric Modular Building

Use when most finishes should leave the plant inside a box. Record finished size and the transport envelope together, because a wider box can fail a route that a narrower box clears.

Portable project office with a steel stair and skirt

Portable Project Office

State headcount, power, and whether furniture is inside the quoted line. A stair and skirt can be excluded from a shell price even when the photograph shows them attached.

Relocatable classroom module with a ramp landing

Relocatable Classroom Module

Write occupancy, exit path, and the ramp as separate lines. A classroom photograph does not state the floor live load or the code edition the district will apply.

Workforce sleeping modules with an external walkway

Workforce Accommodation Camp

State bed count, sanitary ratio, and whether the kitchen is in the same package. A sleeping-module price does not include the water plant or the generator pad unless the brief says so.

Uses that change the brief

Site office row beside a foundation line

Site offices

Ask for the duration, the stack plan, and who owns the tie-downs. A short lease and a purchased module do not share a foundation interface.

Classroom pair with a covered walkway

Classrooms

Record the corridor, the ramp slope, and the fire-resistance rating the district expects at the mating wall. Those items move the price more than the paint color.

Insulated box used as a cold support shell

Cold support shells

Insulation, door seals, and the mechanical scope have to be named. A box photograph is not a temperature specification and is not a refrigeration design.

Open steel frame over a yard

Open frames

Clear span, eave height, and bay spacing decide whether a rigid frame is even the right family. A module width does not answer those three numbers.
